The City of West Sacramento maintains FEMA Elevation Certificates showing “finished construction” elevations for buildings constructed or substantially improved while in the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA). No new construction or substantial improvement, requiring an Elevation Certificate within the City’s jurisdiction, has occurred in the Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHA) shown on the Flood Insurance Rate Maps since the date of the City’s initial Community Rating System application, in September 2010. The City discourages development and construction in the SFHA. If any development occurs, the Elevation Certificate for the property will be located here as Elevation Certificates are public information.
